3D world with rural white ground, a rock and under it an image.

Art talk/presentation

2020 Ars Electronica Festival, Agora Digitalis – The State of Digital Culture, curated by Dr. Anne Nigten

0ddR0ck is a research based art game questioning the modern, hectic lifestyle and the values of it with practice of slow looking in the virtual space.

In the game the aim is to be the slowest player while searching hidden art works. A player has to avoid sudden momentary whims. If the stress level gets too high, moving around gets slower.

The project got its inspiration from the way we experience street art (versus in galleries), the cultural practice of play, winter scenes in Lapland and real odd rocks in the nature.

Tech: Unity, C++, 3D photography masking. The photographs and sound art by Tiio Suorsa.
