Virtual Words - Artists' VR workshop

With my project Engobes I was one of the selected artists to take part in a VR workshop and to go further with the four other chosen VR projects.

I started to work on my project at the Zaratan residency in Lisbon in October 2023. The concept was shaping out and after a lot of try-outs the experimenting led into the first demo version of the upcoming art work.

My VR project is going to consist of animated texts, 3D scanned objects and sound. The project is made with Unity.

The intensive one-week VR workshop took place in Kaapelitehdas and was led by the media artists Leena Jääskeläinen, Kristina Laine and Albert Laine. The workshop was organised by interdisciplinary art association MUU ry and Animation Guild ry, supported by AVEK - The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture Finland.
